I am writing to seek your recommendation for a post doctoral clinical research fellowship opportunity at our Neurogastroenterology/Motility program. We have an outstanding 3000 sq feet Digestive Health Clinical Research Center with state-of-the-art facilities for clinical research in neurogastroenterology. Our lab directed by myself and Dr Sharma has 10 active studies, including 3 NIH funded studies that is investigating several novel mechanisms of gut and brain interactions as well as pioneering several novel therapies such as repetitive translumbar and transsacral magnetic stimulation therapy, Home biofeedback therapy, sensory adaptation treatment and others in patients with fecal incontinence, IBS, Dyssynergic defecation and Parkinsons disease. Additionally, we have an outstanding clinical program where we see 1200 new patients referred from all over USA and abroad with complex motility disorders, perform 3500 motility tests/year in a 5-room dedicated, state-of-the-art Motility Suite and a dedicated teaching program.
The candidate must have completed an MD or equivalent training and either completed or undergoing gastroenterology training with some experience in clinical research studies. The candidate must be willing to spend 18 months to 2 years in USA, and must have a dedicated interest in pursuing neurogastroenterology. Salary support will be provided through our funded grants. The position is available starting January 2018.
